The principles to becoming successful are actually pretty simple if you model how successful people think. Now that doesn’t mean that success is necessarily easy to accomplish. It’s not that hard to learn what it takes to be successful, but it is much harder to actually apply the success principles with diligence and perseverance.

Want to know how successful people think? They want to be successful because they believe it is their birthright to claim all they are entitled to in this amazing world. Each one of us needs to define what that success is for ourselves, because we are all different, we different hopes and dreams, and we all want different things.

And because we are different and want different things, there is no one “cookie cutter” success solution that works for everyone. There is no magic pill you can take to get there. We all need to model the success principles and beliefs that have worked for others, and mould them to our unique personality and abilities.

So model how successful people think and mould that to your own personality.

How do you think about success? Check out some of these signs that you will be successful and figure out how you can mould them to fit your life:

Here Are 7 Signs You Will Be Exceptionally Successful:

1. You Appreciate The Success Of Others.300x600_DRdesign_01

Truly successful people are not jealous of other peoples success, in fact they show genuine recognition for those that make it big. The fact that someone else has done it inspires and encourages successful people to know that they can reach for more.

2. You Are Open To New Ideas.

Successful people never let them selves stagnate. They are always willing to look for ways to improve because they understand that in life you are either growing, or you are dying. Successful people are always growing. So be open to new ideas, look for ways to advance your knowledge.

3. You Love What You Do.

Because you love what you do it never feels like work to you. Your business is your life and it energizes you and motivates you to take bigger action. Because it is a part of who you are and you love it so much, you learn everything you can about your work and you become intimately knowledgeable about the market you are involved in.

4. You Know The Difference Between Sympathy And Empathy.

Successful people create their success by providing service to others, and because of that they understand others on a deeper level, they see things from the other persons perspective. But there is a difference between sympathy and empathy. Sympathy is where you feel bad when others feel bad, and empathy is where you acknowledge that others feel bad but you do not feel bad yourself. So you want to have empathy because feeling bad when others feel bad will derail your success.

5. You Measure Yourself Against Yourself.

Success is not measured by what you have done compared to what others have done, rather success is measured by what you have done compared to what you could have done. Successful people measure themselves and derive their motivation from within, they don’t fall into the trap of social comparisons, but instead they are driven by a deeper desire to be true to themselves.

6. You Don’t Follow The Herd.

If the statistics are true and 98% of people do not have what they want in life, then it is logical to conclude that the 2% that do have what they want are not a part of the herd. Super successful people follow a different path to the masses, they march to a different drum. They do things that average people think is too inconvenient….and that is what sets them apart.

7. You Are a Steward Of Your Money.

You understand that while money brings you good things in life it does not define you. You have been granted stewardship over the money you have, and you have been entrusted to do good with it. You love people and you use money; not the other way round. You understand that money is earned through service rendered and you provide more in use value than you receive in cash value.

So how did you measure up against these signs? What areas could you improve on?
